Royal celebrations as care home marks Queen's birthday
Care home residents joined in the celebrations for the Queen’s official birthday.
Chester Court care home, in Bedlington, held a Royal tea party to mark the Queen’s 95th birthday.
Residents enjoyed a selection of freshly-baked sausage rolls, jam tarts, fruit scones with jam and cream, cucumber sandwiches, salmon sandwiches and a Royal cake for the occasion, all washed down with pots of tea.
Residents took part in a variety of royal–themed events including watching the Trooping the Colour Parade along with the fly-past, and taking part in a Queen Elizabeth II quiz.
Sarah, General Manager at Chester Court said: “Our residents love a party and they love the Queen so they all enjoyed the tea and cakes and watching the parade and the fly-past to mark the Queen’s official birthday.”
Gloria, resident at Chester Court, said: “The Queen is an amazing lady who has been through so much lately so it was a wonderful way to remember her and pay our respects.”
