Police appeal for help in identifying man after assault

Police are appealing for help in tracing a man in connection with an assault in Northumberland.

Police have released CCTV images in connection with an assault in Blyth.

Several men were walking down the rear lane of Disraeli Street, Blyth, at 8.50pm on Friday, September 9, when one of them walked over a parked car, causing minor damage.

The car owner, a 46-year-old man, ran after him and challenged him on Salisbury Street and was assaulted, punched several times to the head.

The men then all ran off.

Police investigating the assault have released CCTV images of a man they need to speak to who it is believed may be able to help with their enquiries.
