Search for new Alnwick town councillors begins after two resignations
It follows the resignation of George Mavin (Clayport ward) and Robbie Moore (Hotspur ward).
George joined the council in 2013, while Robbie, who also served as an Alnwick county councillor, was elected as MP for Keighley in West Yorkshire in December.

It is understood Northumberland County Council plans to tie in its election with those for the Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner in May.
“We will start our process and if that ties in with May there will be just one election for two town councillors, one county councillor and a police and crime commissioner,” explained Coun Wearn.
