Residents and Christmas shoppers are urged to drop in for a chat with a copper at the Pop-up Police shop in Wansbeck Square.
Open every day, 9am-4pm, until Christmas Eve, residents are encourage to visit the shop where they can sit down with their local officers and ask questions, find out about crime in the area and get crime prevention advice.
Other key partners will be visiting the shop to talk to residents including Wansbeck food bank on Saturday, December 19 and Citizens Advice providing debt advice,Wednesday 23rd December.
It’s also an opportunity for residents to tell police about any issues or concerns they have as part of Operation Community Pride.
Officers will also be running a bike marking service on Sunday, December 20.
Anyone who wants their bikes security marked can come along on the day and have it done for free.
