Public aid is vital to RNLI

The committee of the Ashington branch of the RNLI would like to thank the people of Wansbeck for their support during 2014 when we collected £6,854.16.

During 2014, volunteer crews in the north launched RNLI lifeboats 1,028 times, rescuing 1,027 people.

Across the UK, lifeboats launched 8,462 times rescuing 8,727 people.

The service is dedicated to saving lives at sea and relies on the generosity of the public.

If you would like to help, have a free presentation about the service or Grace Darling, or visit a working lifeboat station, call me on (01670) 815995.
