Children at a Northumberland first school have captured a moment in history.
Year 4 pupils at Seaton Sluice First School have given future generations a glimpse into the past with their special time capsule.
Headteacher Gill Love said: “The box has been filled with items contemporary to our lives today, but in 20 years when the box is opened, the items will be relics of the past.”
Children from the school added newspapers, biscuit and sweet packets, games and magazines to the time capsule that are all relevant to them in 2016.
The box will be closed for two decades until 2036, when it is hoped future pupils at Seaton Sluice First School will find and open the time capsule.
