Pupils join in transfer day events

Students from local primary and middle schools spent the day taking part in lessons and activities at a county high school.

More than 230 pupils from across Bedlington and Guidepost visited Bedlingtonshire Community High School to take part in a transfer day event.

The day was a culmination in a fortnight of transfer events between the partnership schools.

Assistant headteacher Jamie Bell said: “Students enjoyed a range of lessons including making fireworks in science, practicing henna hand art and making scones in design and technology.”
