Senior citizens enjoyed an afternoon of the songs from Annie when they were invited to take tea at a Northumberland academy.
Guests at Bede Academy in Blyth were treated to a sneak preview of the classic musical before it is staged in a three-night run this week.
Members of the cast entertained the audience as more than 50 guests were served tasty treats in the school’s dining hall.
The academy opens its doors to the community on a regular basis with students serving afternoon tea to elderly residents living nearby several times a year.
Vicar of St Bede’s Newsham, Richard Pringle, said: “It is absolutely lovely to be here and we value the connections we enjoy with the school.”
