Students at a county high school have taken part in the nationwide BBC Schools Report day.
Year 9 and four Year 10 students from Bedlingtonshire Community High School interviewed a number of people in relation to topics local to Bedlington and Bedlington Station.
The students reported on SENRUG, which is looking to bring back passenger trains from Newcastle to Blyth, Bedlington and Ashington, the refurbishment of the East Bedlington Community Centre, and the parish clerk about how the council is applying to the Big Lottery for funding.
They finished off the day with a newspaper report about the closure of Tesco and how it will impact on the community.
Andy Allman, transition youth worker for the school, said: “It was a pleasure to work with the students who worked as a team and really enjoyed looking in to the news local to them and finding out information.”
