Holywell Dene Care Home staged a puppet show for residents and relatives, and one of late pop and film star Elvis Presley proved a smash hit.

“The puppets are regular visitors, and each visit has a different themed show. This show was music-themed, and the residents shouted with joy when Elvis made his appearance,” said Gemma Stewart, manager of the HC-One home in Holywell.

“Everyone was enthralled from beginning to end, watching each character come to life. Afterwards the Residents had the pleasure of meeting each character and having their photos taken, and Elvis was a definite favourite.”

The following day, children from Holywell Village First School visited the home to perform some songs.

Gemma added: “Our residents had a wonderful time.

“The puppet show is always a favourite, and welcoming the local schoolchildren into the home is a delight.”
