Ian Lavery MP.

All nominees – the MP is looking for community and charitable champions – must either live or volunteer in the Wansbeck constituency.

Nominations can be sent in via email ([email protected]) by calling the office when it is open on 01670 852494 or by dropping Mr Lavery’s Facebook page a private Facebook message. Nominations close on Friday.

Mr Lavery said: “Once again, I am looking to celebrate the best of our local legends, charity champions and volunteers who give so much time and effort to our community.

“It’s time we gave back and recognised all their hard work. You can nominate groups and organisations, as well as individuals.

“To nominate someone you think deserves to be recognised for their community or charity work in the Wansbeck constituency, please do the following:

Send or tell us the name of your nominee, their address and contact details and a brief description of the reason why you’re nominating them for the award – make sure this is done via email, phone or Facebook messenger and acknowledged by my team.

“Also make sure you vote for your nominee when they are publicly announced on November 20.”
