Youngsters are taking pride in new gear after a local company came to their funding help.
Members of the 7th Ashington (St Andrew’s) Brownie unit were looking to buy a new flag.
And they have been helped in their cause by international company Proctor and Gamble, who provided funding to enable the group to purchase a new unit flag and other accessories.
To celebrate the support, the girls invited their parents to attend a short dedication service, in St Andrew’s Church, followed by refreshments.
The service was conducted by Canon Raymond Best, a former priest at the church, who was joined by Brownies Bobbie Jo and Caitlin.
