Northumberland County Council is recruiting support carers to assist vulnerable children and young people in Northumberland.
If you have 16 hours or more a week to spare, would like to opportunity to become involved in a rewarding role and develop your skills, knowledge and experience working with children, then this could be a role for you.
The council is holding informal recruitment events over the coming weeks for those who would like to find out more.
The first event is at Concordia Leisure Centre in Cramlington on Tuesday, May 19, followed by an event at Blyth Leisure Centre on Wednesday, May 20.
As a support carer you will be part of a team providing targeted intervention and support for children in our county enabling them to stay in their home area.
Coun Robert Arckless, policy board member for children’s services, said: “These roles offer a great opportunity to undertake rewarding, paid work while developing skills and experience that could lead to new career opportunities in the future.
