Residents of a county care home have enjoyed a special Mad Hatters themed event.

The staff and residents of South Quay Care Home in Blyth, were transported to Wonderland where they were treated to a tea party and a host of games and activities.

Home manager, Anthony Olson-McCoy, said: “It was a quiet afternoon at South Quay when the Queen of Hearts invaded.

“Alice tried to keep order but before long cakes, scones and jelly were being passed around the dining room, much to the delight of the crowd.”
