Reunion is seeking out ex-members

Organisers of a school reunion in south east Northumberland are still looking for a number of former pupils to get in touch and hopefully attend the event.

Malcolm Scott, who attended Blyth Grammar School in Tynedale Drive, Cowpen Estate, is looking for former pupils from the class of 1966 to attend a get together.

“We have found at least five of our old teachers coming along as special guests,” said Malcolm.

“These teachers taught at some time between 1966 and 1972 – Mr Gibson (Bob), Mr Moss (Tony), Miss Brown (Pam), Miss Anderson (Jean) and Mr Lillie (Dawson).”

“We may have more by the time of our function,” he added.

Organisers are looking for a series of former pupils including: Tony Finch, Anne French, Karen Gibson, Jacqueline Cousins, Maurice Crosby, Susan Goodwill, Richard Hakin, Tom Harris, Rob Henstock, Joan Hepplewhite, Elaine Jenkinson, David Kirkpatrick, Rita Maddison, Ian Marlow, Tom Naisby, Maureen Price, Derek Reynolds, Helen Rooney, George Ross, Rachael Ross, Jeff Sayers, Martin Thomas, Barbara Williams, Steven Williams, Gary Wilson, Malcolm Wilson and Jeff Yellowley.

The event is on Saturday, May 2, at 7.30pm in the Masonic Buildings in Blyth.
