Finchale has appointed a Bedlington resident as its first dedicated business development manager.
The independent charity, which was originally founded in 1943 as a rehabilitation and resettlement centre for service personnel returning from active service, provides health, training and employment opportunities for people excluded and isolated due to multiple disadvantages.
Roger Guy will be responsible for developing collaborative working, sub-contracting and partnership relationships. He is experienced in the field of business development and supply chain management and he will also help to grow Finchale’s network of partners.
He said: “I’m particularly pleased I’m working for an organisation that helps, among others, veterans and those with disabilities, as these people are so often left out of welfare to work programmes.”
