Ryanair announces new flights from North East to Gdansk, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Lanzarote and Tenerife

Passengers will have a new choice of destinations from Newcastle this winter after airline Ryanair announced a new range of flights.

The budget airline has expanded its Newcastle winter 2016 schedule with thre new routes to Gdansk, Warsaw and Wroclaw, in Poland - bringing the total number of routes to eight including Lanzarote and Tenerife.

The airline says it will double its traffic, help bring in 400,000 customers a year, and support 300 jobs at Newcastle International Airport.

Five new routes, twice weekly to Gdansk, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Warsaw and Wroclaw.

More flights to: Alicante (four weekly) and Dublin (two daily)

Robin Kiely, Ryanair’s head of marketing, said: “We are pleased to launch 3 new routes from Newcastle to Gdansk, Warsaw and Wroclaw, as part of our significantly expanded winter 2016 schedule, bringing the total number of routes to eight including Lanzarote and Tenerife, which will help deliver 400,000 customers per annum, and support 300 jobs, as we more than double our operation at Newcastle Airport.
