TEN youngsters in south east Northumberland have taken part in first aid training delivered by citizens’ university, The U.
The young people, from Blyth, were among 150 people from across Northumberland to take part in 90-minute basic first aid sessions with volunteer trainers.
Allan Hepple, director of neighbourhood services at Homes for Northumberland, said: “The session included basic first aid skills as well as what to do if participants saw someone having an accident.’’
“We are dedicated to helping local communities to flourish and these young people have been taught important life skills and invaluable lessons about citizenship, which will be of use both now and in the future.”
