SCHOOL: Invaluable support
I would like to say a big thank you to Bedlington West End First School.
Our daughter Annabelle, aged nine now, had leukaemia aged three-and-a-half. She went to West End First School and all staff were very supportive.
She went into remission aged six-and-a-half. When aged eight-and-a-half, the cancer came back. She was very poorly, had sepsis and nearly died. She was in hospital for five months at the RVI in Newcastle.
West End staff visited her regularly, and so did her peers. I, and we as a family, cannot praise the staff and pupils enough.
Thank you to headteacher Mrs Bushell and all of her staff. Also thank you to the staff in oncology at the RVI Newcastle.
Annabelle’s oldest sister Olivia and friends have been very supportive.
Annabelle is now moving to Meadowdale at Bedlington, a big step forward for us.
