A leading first aid charity is asking the public to get in touch and tell them about people who have saved lives or championed first aid.
This year’s finalists from the St John Ambulance Everyday Heroes Awards, will be invited to an exclusive awards ceremony, hosted by sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher, at the Lancaster London hotel on July 1.
Last year, Tesco worker Kirsty Perry, and her manager Dave Moreland, from Bedlington were finalists in the High Street Hero of the Year category when they saved the life of an elderly customer who collapsed in-store.
The 81 year-old-man had collapsed in an aisle when he was found by 26-year-old Kirsty.
The pair had to carry out CPR on the customer for ten minutes until the ambulance crew arrived.
