SENRUG: Group's aims are positive

May we say a big thank you to the South East Northumberland Rail User Group who gave a talk at Newbiggin Sports Centre.

Friday, 25th March 2016, 3:00 pm

Its aims are positive, sound and common sense – better rail services, the interests of users, and opening up former railway stations axed under the Beeching cuts in the 1960s. This infrastructure will be very positive for south east Northumberland, bringing more freight services and easing the heavy road traffic congestion. It would bring more jobs, occupations and business to Northumberland, and be a better service to tourists.

The group is very forward looking, good in its objectives, especially when dealing with rail chiefs and government, and knows how to compromise.
