I would like to refer to the article Consultation over proposals for new homes, (News Post Leader, October 24).
Can anyone see why building 24,000 new homes is necessary to keep the region economically active, other than to line the pockets of the construction companies?
Does Coun Hepple realise there are very few jobs out there?
Where are all these people coming from, and what work will they get?
In Blyth there are very few open spaces left, and very soon you will have to drive miles to see any greenery, that’s not something to look forward to.
Is access to nature and open space not important for quality of life?
I’m sick of hearing about the economy, what about people?
