Two Morpeth sisters are preparing to take on 15 challenges in 2015 in memory of their father.

Former Castle Morpeth chief planning officer Tony Woodcock died in September, and now his daughters Charlotte Woodcock, and Rachel McBryde, along with their mum Pam, are raising £15,000 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Charity project 15in15 – Let’s Challenge Cancer, will kick off with the Morpeth Harrier’s 11k Morpeth Road Race on New Year’s Day, ranging to the epic 140.6 mile Ironman Barcelona in October – and between them the pair will be tackling them all.

Charlotte said: “Dad was someone who loved life. And he loved a challenge.

“We wanted to turn all the negative energy surrounding his passing into something positive, so we came up with 15 in 15.”
