Skirrow jumps to a double gold at NE Indoors
Pete NE Indoor Championshipsr’s first event was the triple jump, which saw him increasing his jumping distance through each round until he produced a final personal best jump in the closing round of 13.33m to take the title.
After an hour and a half’s recovery, Peter was back in action again, this time in the Long Jump. Consecutive ‘no jumps’ meant that Peter had toexecute a ‘safe’ jump in the third round in order to progress further.

Hide AdUnfortunately he wasn’t quite able to hit the take-off board in the subsequent rounds, but his earlier safe jump of 6.53m was sufficient to earn him another gold medal.
* Alnwick Harriers, in preparation for the upcoming North East Harrier League cross country fixture at The Pastures, Alnwick on Saturday, March 4, are holding a course inspection on Sunday (February 25)at 9am.
Can anyone who is willing to help meet at the course entrance off the B1340 armed with bin bags and gloves so the course can be cleared of litter.

Hide AdClub tents will be positioned just inside the entrance to The Pastures off the B1340. There is limited parking for NEHL officials only, though this access can be used to quickly drop off club tents.
The start and finish area is right next to where the tents are positioned.
Catering and toilet facilities will be provided and with livestock in the fields, spectators are asked to keep dogs on a lead at all times
