Twelve funding bodies will be available to meet and discuss proposals with attendees on a one-to-one basis.

The funding fair will be held at Newbiggin Sports and Community Centre on March 7, with booked appointments from 1pm to 4.30pm.

Marc Johnson, funding officer at Northumberland CVA, said: “This is a great opportunity to have a one-to-one discussion with funders to find out if they are interested in funding your project and get advice on how to make your application stand the best chance of success.”

One funder offering support for the first time at a Northumberland funding fair will be the Ballinger Charitable Trust, which awarded grants in excess of £2million to organisations in the North East last year – starting at a few hundred pounds.

The others that will be in attendance include Arts Council England, Big Lottery Fund, the Community Foundation and Northumberland County Council.

To book your place, call 01670 858688 or email en quire@northumberlandcva.org.uk – bookings close at 9am on February 27.
