A series of events are being held as a church marks its 50th anniversary.

Stakeford Methodist Church achieves the milestone this month with officials planning a number of events.

On Saturday, April 28, there will be a coffee morning and gift day from 10am to noon with displays of photographs and memorabilia from the years.

The following day there will be an anniversary service at 10.30am.

On Saturday, May 5, there will be an open day from 10am to 4pm with photographs and displays of memorabilia plus refreshments.

Next month, Revd Jona Sewell will lead worship on May 27, followed by a service led by Revd Marie Beard on July 1.

The Harvest Festival Service on October 14 will be led by Revd Geoff Dougill, a former minister of the church.

Everyone is welcome to all of the services.
