A county taxi firm is urging businesses in Northumberland to celebrate their excellence.

Northumberland is home to thriving national and international businesses, and Blyth-based Phoenix Taxisis calling on as many as possible to enter this year’s Northumberland Business Awards, that celebrate and recognise business excellence across the county.

The awards encompass 11 different categories, New Business (under two years); Social Responsibility Award; Apprentice/Trainee of the Year; Employer of the Year; Best Green Business; Exporter of the Year, Creative Industries Award; Innovation Award; Leisure Award; Large and Small Business of the Year; and Lifetime Achievement Award.

The winners will be announced at a special celebration dinner at Linden Hall on Thursday, November 12.

The family-run firm is the largest green taxi firm in the country, with 80 of the cars in the 220-strong fleet hybrid or electric vehicles (EVs).
