Stolen property found in search

POLICE are trying to reunite owners with stolen property they recovered.

Officers executed a search warrant at an address in Chestnut Street, Ashington, where they found items including golf clubs and equipment, stereo systems and a sat nav – all believed to have been stolen.

Two youths and a 24-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen goods and officers immediately managed to link some of the suspected stolen items to crimes in the area.

As a result, the 24-year-old man was charged with receiving stolen goods. The two youths were bailed.

Enquiries into the items are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who may have had any of the following items stolen to contact them and come and claim their property back:-

n Blue/black Trojan golf club bag containing approximately 22 clubs and a distinctive golf sock with a red and white cross pattern;

n Vantage 2000 MK II golf trolley;

n Beat black car radio / cassette stereo, a Kenwood car stereo, a Ripspeed car stereo, a JVC silver in-car CD changer, Sony black car radio and cover;

n Tom Tom sat nav system.
