Singing students from Bothal Middle School in Ashington will be receiving Bronze Arts Awards this month.
Arts Award advisor Louise Robinson will present the 14 students with their honours at a ceremony being held for family members to share in the musical success.
The group of youngsters started on their journey to become young singing leaders and were trained by professional singing coach Flora Smith.
During the sessions, students developed their leadership and teamwork skills whilst using their voices to sing out a wide range of new songs.
Arts Award’s unique qualifications support young people to develop as artists and arts leaders and progresses their creativity, leadership and also communication skills.
They then shared their new skills with other young students in local first schools.
Ms Robinson said: “I am very proud of the students and think it’s important that we celebrate their success, which is why we are holding this ceremony, to give students the opportunity to share their experiences with their families.”
Abbie Kerr said: “The singing leader training was a great chance for me to show people how I felt about singing.”
The celebration is at 6pm at Bothal Middle School on Tuesday, September 24.
