Has any other reader, like me, experienced, observed or heard about motorists failing to stop for pedestrians at the zebra crossing in Village Road, Cramlington, near to the cemetery?
If so, then would they support my attempt to have this converted to a light controlled puffin crossing that would leave motorists in no doubt when to stop and pedestrians in no doubt when they should step onto the crossing.
At the moment it is an accident waiting to happen.
This has now been placed on the Northumberland County Council register of requests for consideration during the preparation of next year’s Local Transport Plan.
So if you want to give your support, contact the county council, Cramlington Town Council and your local councillors who may be able to add some weight to this request.
