Dignitaries from Blyth have enjoyed a tea party to celebrate the NHS’ 70th anniversary.
The event, which was organised by Blyth Battery in partnership with The Labour Party Women’s Forum, was attended by Blyth Valley MP Ronnie Campbell, the Mayor of Blyth Adrian Cartie and councillors Eileen Cartie and Kath Nisbet.
The guests enjoyed tea and cake and a raffle, while a huge birthday card was signed by members of the public.
It was presented to an NHS representative and will be displayed in a local hospital.
The money raised was shared between the battery and an NHS mental health charity.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who baked, volunteered and supported them on the day.
