They think it's ale over, and it will be on March 27
Three Northumbrian pubs will be taking part in a 17-day-long real ale festival starting next week.
Bedlington’s Red Lion, in Front Street West; John the Clerk of Cramlington, in the town’sVillage Road; and the Wallaw, in Union Street, Blyth, will each be serving up to 30 different beers as part of the JD Wetherspoon chain event.
Award-winning tipples from the 2015 Great British Beer Festival – together with ales from Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, the US and Ireland – will be available.
The festival will feature new, seasonal and speciality offerings, including a chocolate-flavoured one, wheat and rye beers, cask lager and fruit porter, as well as a spiced ale and one brewed with peated malt.
It runs from Friday, March 11, to Sunday, March 27.
