Third birthday for Blyth Workspace
Blyth Workspace, the sea-front office development, is celebrating its third birthday along with one of its most innovative tenants, Trench Networks.
The building opened its doors in March 2015 and welcomed a diversity of new and existing businesses. One of the feature attractions of the workspace has been the huge savings on offer due to free business rates.
However, from Saturday, the enterprise zone free business rate status will no longer apply, meaning companies are urged to secure their office space before the deadline.
Enterprise Zones are designated areas across England that provide tax breaks and Government support.
Trench Networks were just one of the businesses to benefit from the free rates when they secured their seaview office at Blyth Workspace.
The innovative IT communications company was established in 2015. It delivers connectivity and is a provider of internet and wifi solutions for difficult-to-service locations and construction sites across the UK with local and national clients.
Claire Hollyman, director of Trench Networks, said: “As a result of our success, we outgrew our original offices and our move into Blyth Workspace was a key part of our growth strategy being sited next to the North East’s thriving construction and technology industry.
“We have taken on an additional office and have also recruited one member of staff and an apprentice who both start with us next month.”
