Three men are arrested after house fire

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a house fire in Blyth on Monday.

At just before 10.40pm, on Monday, March 24, police received a report from the fire service of a house on fire at an address on Amble Close in Newsham.

Officers attended the scene where the property was found empty and the fire extinguished.

Neighbouring properties were evacuated as a precaution.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Three men, aged 23, 22 and 19, have been arrested on suspicion of arson.

All three are helping police with enquiries.

Police are continuing to investigate the fire and are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information.
