Thugs punch man in the head in Bedlington

Police are appealing for information after a 32-year-old man was assaulted in Bedlington.

It happened at 2pm on Thursday ,March 27, on the track between Gallagher Park and the back of Rothesay Mews.

The victim was approached by two men, one of the men punched him on the side of the head.

He suffered minor injuries.

Both men made off along the track towards Bedlington Police Station.

The man who punched the 32-year-old is described as white, 18 to 24, about 5ft 10 inches tall, average build, short dark hair and dressed in dark clothing.

The second man is described as white, 18-24 years old and about 5ft ten inches tall.

Officers are carrying out enquiries into the assault and asking anyone who witnessed the incident or knows the men responsible to contact them on 101 ext 69191 quoting reference 16946E/14 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
