HAPPY couples made their way to Morpeth Town Hall for its first ever wedding fair.
Brides and husbands-to-be were welcomed to the event to find out more about what the venue can offer for their big day, as well as to meet local specialists.
The fair was organised by Morpeth Town Council and Northumberland Registration Services, and there were exhibitions and stalls from several local businesses that specialise in wedding services.
The Town Hall has become a popular venue for weddings and civil partnership ceremonies since it became home to Morpeth Register Office late last year.
But those who missed out on the open evening need not despair as another wedding fair and fashion show is planned for next month.
Northumberland County Council executive member for registration services Neil Bradbury said: “The evening was a great success and preparations are well under way for the next wedding fair.
“These two events provide the ideal opportunity for couples wishing to marry or enter a civil partnership to come along to meet our registration team and view the new facility, which will be dressed to show how it could look on their special day.”
The next wedding fair will take place on Sunday, October 23, from 10am to 4pm.
