Two postmen are delivering punk as well as letters, after they started up their own band.
Paul Sawyer and Peter Leithead, who work at the Royal Mail delivery office in Ashington, have formed LoGOz, a bassless punk pop band.
Paul, 41, who has been a postman for 20 years, plays guitar and sings backing vocals, while Peter, or ‘Peesh’, 39, plays guitar and sings lead.
They also drafted in their friend Carl Bennett, of Ashington, to play drums.
So far they have played at various venues across the UK, including The Dublin Castle in London and Whistle Binkies in Edinburgh.
They have released their debut album Psycho Radio, which costs £3 and is available to buy from their gigs or via www.LoGOz.me.uk
Paul said: “We just want to make good music and get people to enjoy themselves while supporting live bands. We need to support as live music is dying out and we want to help keep it alive.”
