Trio to head free festival

Brit Award-winning indie-pop band Scouting for Girls will be headlining a free Northumberland music festival this summer.

The trio will be on stage at Northumberland Live at South Beach, Blyth, on Saturday, June 25.

Roy Stride, Greg Churchouse and Pete Ellar make up the band, who have enjoyed eight top 40 hits.

Northumberland Live has been organised by Blyth Town Council in association with Northumberland County Council. The event also gives local acts the chance to appear on stage with Scouting for Girls.
