STAFF at a health trust are amongst the most satisfied in the country, according to the 2012 national NHS staff survey.
The results put Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in the top 20 per cent of NHS organisations in England with staff feeling motivated and likely to recommend the trust as a place to work or receive treatment.
The survey showed 89 per cent of staff feel they make a difference to patients, with 85 per cent feeling satisfied with the quality of patient care they deliver.
In addition, 71 per cent of Northumbria staff felt able to contribute towards improvements at work, while 91 per cent of staff felt able to report errors or incident.
Northumbria Healthcare employs around 8,5000 staff at sites including Ashington, Blyth, Morpeth, North Shields and Wallsend.
