UKIP will open up a campaign ship in Bedlington tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Party is taking over an office, donated by a local businessman, in Front Street East for the rest of the hectic election period.
UKIP’s candidate for the Wansbeck parliamentary constituency, Melanie Hurst, said: “I’m delighted that our campaign shop will be up and running, particularly as the support we have been getting already from passers-by has been fantastic.
“We are looking forward to meeting more supporters and campaigning on issues that matter to the people of Wansbeck.
“The Conservatives treat us with contempt and Labour treat us with complacency.
“In Wansbeck I want to see the end of hospital car parking charges; improved local transport services, especially rail services; priority housing for our veterans and local people; investment in our local high streets generating business and creating real jobs; leisure facilities for everyone; better schools and most of all a better deal for Wansbeck.
“Only UKIP offers the people of Wansbeck the opportunity to vote for change, we are the only opposition to Labour and a vote for Labour is a vote for the SNP who want to break up the United Kingdom. I believe only UKIP can deliver a better Britain and a better deal for the people of Wansbeck.
“Anyone interested to either helping out with the campaign, displaying a UKIP window poster or putting up a UKIP garden board please come along to or contact our UKIP campaign shop,” she said.
The opening will take place at 11am at 90a Front Street East, Bedlington, Northumberland, NE22 5EA.
