The News Post Leader reported last month that North Seaton Colliery Community Centre was in danger of closing.

Following recent public meetings on its future, the centre is looking for nominations to its board of trustees in time for its annual general meeting on Wednesday, May 4. Northumberland CVA has been asked to manage this process.

Anyone living in North Seaton Colliery or the surrounding area who is interested in nominating themselves or someone else (with their permission)to the centre’s board of trustees can do so by contacting Carolyn Fothergill at Northumberland CVA by phone on 01670 858688 or email [email protected]

Nominees should also state whether or not they are interested in the roles of chairman, treasurer or secretary. Nominations need to reach Northumberland CVA by Thursday, April 28, to be considered in time for the AGM.
