A STAFF member at a takeaway was injured after a vandal threw a stone through a window.
Someone threw a stone at a bus parked outside shops at Palace Road in Bedlington Station but missed the vehicle and smashed the front window of the Palace Garden takeaway.
A member of staff needed first aid after they were hit by glass during the incident at 9.30pm on Friday, November 23.
Pc Steve McIntosh, neighbourhood beat manager for the area, said: “This mindless act of criminal damage has left a member of staff with injuries and extremely shaken.
“We are committed to preventing damage and tackling anti-social behaviour in Bedlington and I would appeal for the local community to help bring the person responsible for this incident to justice.”
