A community group in the county will hold their first ever Vintage market this weekend.
Ashington Community Development Trust will hold the market on the first floor of their building above Nisa, on Satrurday, October 17, where there will be a selection of antique, vintage and vintage-themed items on offer, as well as a chance to have a vintage hairstyle done, thanks to help from the Hair and Beauty Salon at Northumberland College.
Saturday will also be the first viewing of the Trust’s Auction, which will take place at 12.30pm on Saturday, October 24.
Trust manager Janet Cresswell said: “This is the first time we have done anything like this. If it goes well we will certainly look at further events, it is a great use of the space of this lovely old building, and it’s the type of event Ashington has lacked for so long.”
For anyone wishing to sell items, contact Community Organiser Victoria Gallagher at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
At the end of the month the Ashington Community Cinema will also be ready to go – the screenings are currently being planned right now.
For more information about the cinema email email@example.com, or pop into the Deputy’s Kist, where there is a list to register interest.
