Blyth Battery reopens on Saturday, and an old favourite will be back on display.

The Waltham watch was stolen druing a break-in last year. It was recovered and repaired free of charge, courtesy of an anonymous supporter.

The Battery, a military and local heritage museum, also boasts a refurbished tea room for this season.

Events coming up include a beach litter-pick on March 30. Fill your rubbish bag, return the equipment and get a free hot drink.

An Easter egg hunt takes place on Easter Day and a few tickets are still available for a Spring Dance on April 21.
