Northumbrian Water is inviting its customers to nominate a worthy cause for its Make My Day campaign.
The five-day initiative, which will run during National Customer Service Week (October 1-5), aims to put a smile on as many people’s faces as possible through a variety of random acts of kindness.
Last year, Northumbrian Water helped 6,500 people with gestures such as giving away chocolate, volunteering time for charities and community projects, and organising trips away for someone special.
Customers are being asked to nominate friends, family members, colleagues and organisations that deserve support. The act of kindness could be anything from a cake or shopping vouchers to a day trip out or help with their garden.
Customer service director Claire Sharp said: “We love our customers and our aim is to show them just how much. It was a privilege to be a part of providing a nice surprise for thousands of people last year. We’re hoping this year’s will be even bigger and better and can’t wait to see the creative ways that people come up with to surprise, amaze and delight those who deserve a treat.”
