A Cramlington shopping centre has been helping to raise awareness of the region’s emergency services during a week-long event.
Manor Walks hosted an Emergency Services Week, which saw Northumbria Police, North East Ambulance Service, The Great North Air Ambulance, Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service and The Blue Lamp Foundation visit the centre.
During the series of events, visitors had the opportunity to meet representatives to find out more about the work they do to help keep the community safe.
Centre general manager Bruno Coppola said: “Northumberland’s emergency services do an outstanding job serving our local community and we are proud to be able to support the fantastic work which they do day-in-day-out.
“We wanted to create a series of informal events to help raise awareness of our emergency services, and which would allow the community to learn more about the frontline staff which so many of us rely on.
“People have had the chance to ask any questions while also finding out how they can get involved in supporting these key organisations.”
Manor Walks is one of the only shopping centres in the country to have a defibrilator on site.
