A host of colourful wigs will brighten up a Blyth shop as staff support young people with cancer.
The Blyth One Stop staff will be joining hundreds across the country who are being sponsored to wear wacky wigs for an annual fundraising event for CLIC Sargent on May 20.
Manager Richie Brians, whose son was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, said: “I can stress from experience just how vital and important CLIC Sargent are to families like mine.
“It’s been my goal from day one to help raise as much money for them as possible as a thank you for what they have given.
“Wig Wednesday is a great way to raise money and have a good time.”
Dee Tyler, CLIC Sargent area fundraising manager, said: “We can’t wait to see everyone’s new colourful hairdos and we’re delighted so many One Stop shops are taking part in this year’s Wig Wednesday.
