Window smashed at battery

A WINDOW was smashed at a wartime building in Blyth.

Officers at Northumbria Police are investigating after someone threw a stone and smashed a window at the old battery observation post on the Links.

The window looks out to sea and is quite high up in the building.

Around the time of the damage – between 3pm and 4.15pm on Saturday, March 23, there was a number of walkers, runners and cyclists in the area.

Investigating officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything or anyone suspicious in the area.
