A youngCramlington girl officially opened the doors to a new store after winning a competition with a tech-perfect catchphrase.
Chloe Baker, 12, saw her slogan ‘Manor Walks into a PC World of Technology @ Currys PC World Cramlington’ displayed on the new shop front and has taken home a HP Tablet for winning the competition.
The new Currys and PC World store on the Retail Park at Manor Walks was officially opened by Chloe.
The competition organised in partnership with Digital Community Youth, saw over 30 entries from youngsters involved with the Manor Walks-based youth project, each entering the competition for the chance to see their catch phrase displayed throughout the new store.
Anya Herod, general store manager of Currys and PC World Cramlington, said: “We thought it would be a great idea to get the youth of the area involved in helping us launch the store and we thought Chloe’s entry was fantastic.”
Manor Walks’ general manager Bruno Coppola said: “We’re delighted to welcome Currys and PC World to the Manor Walks community and it was wonderful for Chloe, a local girl to officially launch the store.”
