Woman robbed in Blyth

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was robbed in Blyth yesterday.

A 57-year-old woman was approached by a youth at approximately 4.50pm on Thursday, January 2, in the rear lane behind the Thomas Knight Memorial Home on Beaconsfield Street in Blyth.

The youth demanded her keys, and he hit her across her arm. He stole her keys and then ran off.

The woman was shaken by the incident but did not require any medical treatment.

The offender is described as a teenager approximately 14-years-old, all dressed in black, including a black hoody.

Police are appealing for witnesses and aAnyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to contact them on 101.
